Mark your calendar: the final concert of Hubert von Goisern’s Linz Europa Tour 2007 is set for September 1 right here in Linz! And two days later, Linz09 Artistic Director Martin Heller will sit down with the artist for a chat about some of his experiences en route from Regensburg to the Black Sea.
The first major stage of the Linz Europa Tour is about to conclude. The flotilla reached the Danube Delta and then reversed course for the trip back upstream to Austria. Hubert von Goisern, roving ambassador of Linz09 European Capital of Culture, gave 22 concerts at venues along the Danube in Germany and Austria, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, the Ukraine, Hungary, Serbia and Slovakia. At each stopover, the Austrian musicians were joined on stage by some of their local colleagues.Home port Linz will now host the gala concert wrapping up the 2007 leg of the tour. Hubert von Goisern and friends will be performing on Saturday, September 1 at 6:30 PM in the Donaupark between the Brucknerhaus and the river. Featuring: Hohtraxlecker Sprungschanznmusi (AT), Rambo Amadeus (SRB) and Darinka (BG).
Two days later, Hubert von Goisern will sum things up with a account of his fascinating experiences and surprising encounters along the way. Date & Time: Monday, September 3, 6:30 PM. Venue: Lentos Museum of Art, Auditorium.
