Company objects and purpose of Linz09 – Company:
The company objects were to prepare, advertise, carry out and promote activities whose contents were the Linz 2009 European Capital of Culture project. The company objects also included the handling of projects and events of a cultural nature and the planning of such event facilities. Furthermore, all such activities were to be concluded, wound up and documented. The company should take account of the cultural interests of the population, in particular of the city and of the Province of Upper Austria.

The above-mentioned website is an independent information and presentation medium to document Linz’s activities as 2009 European Capital of Culture. In February 2010, the website was converted into an online archive, and only marginal changes have been made to it since then.
