Uwe LOHR (AT)
Uwe Lohr was born in 1976 in Linz. He studied theater arts and journalism in Vienna, where he learned to direct with Gerhard Klingenberg and Achim Benning. While an undergraduate, he worked as an assistant director at the Theater in der Josefstadt together with such notables as Helmut Griem. He has been associated with Landestheater Linz since 2004. Together with other up-and-coming young artists, he founded “brettgeflüster!,” a company that tours in Upper Austria and for which he serves as director, author and artistic director. In addition to regular summer theater work in Upper Austria and Lower Austria, he has staged a number of works at the Landestheater: Elfriede Jelinek’s “Prinzessinnendramen,” Georg Kreisler’s “Adam Schaf hat Angst” and the opera “Weiße Rose” by Udo Zimmermann.
