Doris STELZER (AT)
Doris Stelzer was born in Upper Austria. After studying biotechnology and dance, she joined the dis.dance ensemble and produced original dance and performance projects. She also works in photography (Bettina Frenzel, “microscopic view” (2005) and “inner space/outer space” (2004)) and video (Jan Machacek, “performance parcours” – “microscopic view part 2” (2007)). Her interest is focused on the body as archive and its characteristics and capabilities in both a physical and anatomical sense. In 2001, she was awarded a danceWEB Europe grant. In 2006, she was artist-in-residence at ImPulsTanz, Vienna. Doris Stelzer has collaborated with Barbara Kraus, Oleg Soulimenko, Lisa Hintereithner, et al. In 2008, she is artist-in-residence at K3–Center for Choreography/ Tanzplan Hamburg. Selected choreographies: “shifted views” (ImPulsTanz 2007); “a tiny little peepshow dance” (Tanzquartier Vienna, 2006).
