Mirjam KLEBEL (AT)
Mirjam Klebel studied at SEAD–Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance and at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York, receiving her diploma in 2002. She was awarded a scholarship to Tanzquartier Wien in 2003-04, and continued her training in New York at Dance Space and Movement Research. She has worked together with many different choreographers including Mia Lawrence (Miala Productions), Milli Bitterli (artificial horizon), Martin Sonderkamp, Hubert Lepka, Zoë Knights, Anna Tenta and Collective LISA (Amsterdam), Marina Rosenfeld, theatre director Marcus Hank (ARGE Nonntal), Simone Klebel-Pergmann and Matej Kejzar (SLO). She is also a member of Tanzbüro and Tanzhaus Salzburg. Her works have been performed at a wide array of festivals and theaters: ImPulsTanz Vienna, SZENE Salzburg, KOSMOS Vienna, steirischer herbst Graz, Norrlandsoperan, Weld and Atalante (SE), Bytom Festival (POL) and ARGE Nonntal. Since 2001, she has been collaborating throughout Europe with Swedish artist Moa Hanssen under the name BESS. Mirjam Klebel teaches improvisation, contact/partnering and contemporary dance at the Mozarteum in Salzburg.
