Christian MAIR (AT)
Christian Mair was born in 1971 in Kitzbühel and now lives in Vienna. He is a composer, sound designer and musician as well as a project and risk manager with Siemens Austria. From 1990 to 1996, he studied business computing at the University of Vienna. Christian Mair’s artistic activities are centered on the Max Reinhardt Seminar, Wuk, Schauspielhaus and Theater in der Josefstadtt in Vienna, Theatre National du Luxembourg, Theater am Kirchplatz Schaan-Liechtenstein, the Ruhrfestspielen Recklinghausen and other venues. He is currently business manager and artistic director of salon5 / iffland and söhne theater and film.. As composer, sound designer and musical director, he has collaborated on a number of productions with director Anna Maria Krassnigg—for example, “Family Works – die Familienwelten des Matthias Wittekindt” at Schauspielhaus Wien (2004); “Fräulein Else” by Arthur Schnitzler at Vienna’s Theater in der Josefstadt (2004-05); “Der Held der Frauen” / “Freigang,” two family plays by Matthias Wittekindt at Schauspielhaus Vienna and at the Theatre National du Luxembourg (2005); “Full Stuff,” a theater ballad for five men in 11 scenes with six songs at the Theatre National du Luxembourg, Ruhrfestspielen Recklinghausen and Theater am Kirchplatz Liechtenstein (2006); as well as “Ich und Kaminski” by Daniel Kehlmann at salon5 Vienna and at Grand Theatre Luxembourg (2008).
