Maria Jerez QUINTANA (ES)
María Jerez Quintana was born in 1978 in Madrid. She received her dance and theater training in Madrid and Paris, and also studied art history, audiovisual communication and animated filmmaking in Madrid. Since 1997, she has worked on projects together with many different theater groups, choreographers (including Jérôme Bel’s “The Show Must Go On”) and artists. She has also been developing her own pieces since 2001; she performed her first solo, “El Caso del Espectador,” in 2004. In 2006, she created “This Side Up” in cooperation with students at the Alcalá de Henares School of Architecture. “The Neverstarting Story,” María Jerez Quintana’s collaboration with her sister Cuqui Jerez, Amaia Urra and Cristina Blanco premiered in early 2008.
