Alexander DEUTINGER (AT)
studied to be a translator at the University of Graz and was awarded grants to attend the Universities of Piliscsaba, Hungary and Granada, Spain. He completed his training as a contemporary dancer at the Institute for Dance Arts of the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz. As a dancer and performer, he has worked with numerous groups including the international artists’ collective Fingersix (F6), Rose Breuss (A), Oleg Soulimenko (RUS/A) and Helena Golab (PL/E). In 2007, he and Marta Navaridas founded the Unicorn group. He was artist-in-residence at ImPulsTanz 06, a DanceWEBeurope grant recipient 07, artist-in-residence and winner of the [tall order]2 choreography competition at CCL Linz 07, winner of the Accessit Jury Prize at ACT Festival Bilbao 07, and artist-in-residence at danceidentity D.ID 08. In conjunction with his participation in research projects, he has worked with Mathilde Monnier (F), Juan Domínguez (E), Philippe Riera (F) and Martin Sonderkamp (D).
