Georg BLASCHKE (AT)

Georg Blaschke lives in Vienna. For the past 15 years, he’s been working as a freelance performer, trainer and choreographer in Austria and abroad. He received his training in contemporary dance, physical theatre and yoga in Vienna, Paris and Rome. He also has extensive experience with action theater, improvisation and the Feldenkrais Method.

His activities as a trainer, guest choreographer and coach specialized in the fields of contemporary dance technique and physical theatre training have garnered him invitations to the world’s most prestigious festivals, scholarly institutions and training facilities such as ImPulsTanz Vienna, Tanzquartier Vienna, Anton-Bruckner Privatuniversität Linz, Int. Tanzkonferenz Bytom, University of New Mexico, SEAD (Salzburg), Theateruniversität Krakow, Codarts/Rotterdam Tanzakademie and the Conservatory of the City of Vienna. His current project “körper. bauen. stellen./body. building. places.” utilizes a number of different constellations and physical situations to examine the body under the influence of a specifically developed concept of gravity and as a constantly selfredefining depository of remembrance at the nexus of spatial limitations.
