Press information
Monday 20 April 2009
In conjunction with I LIKE TO MOVE IT MOVE IT, Linz09’s big school project, local, regional and international theatrical artists are now working together with teachers and students at a wide array of schools throughout Upper Austria to develop process- and presentation-oriented projects in many different areas of the performing arts: drama, dance, puppetry musicals and shadow theater. A total of 72 outstanding contemporary artists are putting their talents on display at 90 educational facilities.
Right now, things are really starting to heat up in the Traunviertel region. Six Viennese performers and choreographers are getting into motion with students and teachers at schools located in the vicinity of Lake Traun:
• Altmünster, Hauptschule (intermediate school)
• Altmünster, Volksschule (elementary school)
• Ebensee, Hauptschule 2
• Gmunden, Gymnasium / ORG Ort d. Schulvereins d. Kreuzschwestern (high school)
• Gmunden, BG / BRG (high school)
• Gmunden, BRG Schloss Traunsee
• Gmunden, Hauptschule
• Gmunden Traundorf, Volksschule
• Traunkirchen, Volksschule
The artists are Milli Bitterli and Andrea Stotter, Barbara Kraus and Jack Hauser as well as Doris Stelzer and Frans Poelstra. Info about the artists is online at www.linz09.at/en/schulprojekt.html
David Mayaan, the Israeli director of Purimspil, and his staff will be working at ASO 6 and Hauptschule Oberneukirchen in Linz.
Linz09 and the participating artists and schools cordially invite you to follow this development process up-close-and-personal and to cover the rehearsals on site. I would be pleased to arrange your rehearsal visit or an interview with the individuals involved in I LIKE TO MOVE IT MOVE IT.
