Dokufest – International Documentary and Short Film Festival was launched in 2002. It’s the first film festival in Kosovo’s history. Now, Linz09 is supporting the presentation of three highlights from last year's Dokufest at this year's CROSSING EUROPE since “especially now, Kosovo can also be regarded as a proxy for the upheavals that have been characteristic of all Eastern Europe. The mission of a European Capital of Culture also applies to this contribution by Linz09: building bridges between Here and There, between ones own city and a Europe of highly diverse cultures.”
