The exhibition “Interfaith and International Encounter with Art” opens on April 1, 2009 at 7 PM and runs until the end of the month. The Roman Catholic Parish of the Holy Ghost, the Protestant Church of the Reconciliation and the KHG–Community of Catholic University Students will make their respective premises available to textile artists Fritz Riedl, Marga Persson, Lee Chen-Hao and Chang Ming-Chi.
A second exhibition is a collaborative effort of the Linz Art University’s Textile Art & Design program and local residents. “The People of Dornach Give You the Shirt Off Their Back” running April 20-30, 2009 in the KHG features the favorite articles of clothing of more than 70 people living in Dornach. Some of the garments are accompanied by photos and personal stories.
As always, the “changing of the guard” ceremony on April 1 at 7 PM will be emceed by Messrs. Juhann und Jod in their “Art Palace” on-site at the Parish of the Holy Ghost.
Admission to all events is free of charge.
