Kepler Salon heads into the 2nd Quarter
Press Release
Thursday 19 March 2009
The Kepler Salon series is about to complete a very successful first three months that included 28 events attended by 1,847 visitors. Now, we’re proud to present the program for April-June 2009.
The Kepler Salon is carrying on its very well-received format: showcasing respected scholars from Austria and abroad who present their scientific work and research results in a way that is entertaining and informative for general audiences. These are not symposia for specialists in the respective fields; the guiding principle is “public understanding of knowledge.” The subject matter ranges across the scholarly spectrum—nature and technology, medicine, the social sciences, cultural studies and art history. The atmosphere is casual, and audience members are encouraged to get actively involved in two-way communication.
