Where does innovation become a work of art? In the spirit of “Technology Meets Culture,” Siemens AG Austria, Siemens VAI, LASK Linz and Linz 2009 European Capital of Culture are answering this question with an array of events and presentations emblematic of the commitment to culture. “SuperMagnetic” is an artwork in which art from within the human body becomes visible. To accomplish this, interior views of LASK Linz star Roman Wallner will be produced at Linz General Hospital using Siemens Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technology, and then be artistically processed by Dr. Franz A. Fellner. The MRI image of Roman Wallner will be unveiled at the football match between LASK Linz and FK Austria Wien on March 7, 2009 in Vienna’s Horr Stadium and then go on display as part of the “Ars Intrinsica” exhibition at the Leopold Museum in Vienna.
