Perhaps you’ve noticed that Linz’s Pfarrplatz looks somewhat different at the moment. The enclosure that’s been set up on that downtown square is the setting of “Our Common Problem: People,” a project by Finnish artist Tea Mäkipää.
“Our Common Problem: People” is part of “The Ill Rabbit” series that’s posing questions about what’s normal and what’s crazy, and has been turning things a bit topsy-turvy in an effort to make Linz a little bit “wackier.” A highly unusual mode of communication is the essence of “Our Common Problem: People.” Three live animals—a donkey, a turkey and a rabbit—are each endowed with a voice that enables them to engage in discussions—among themselves and, above all, with installation visitors—about life, about freedom and about what is purported to be normalcy in this day and age. There’s still time to partake of this out-of-the-ordinary form of entertainment until May 14…Our Common Problem: People
