Enchanting Sunday for Families at the Nordico

Since early February, the Nordico Museum of the City of Linz has been completely under the spell of magicians, illusionists, fortune tellers and card sharps. Plus, there’s utterly enchanting family-style entertainment including a magic show every Sunday at 3 PM.
Once again this Sunday, the Capital of Culture has big things in store for our littlest guests. Youngsters—and their chaperones too—will be absolutely delighted by these spectacular magic tricks. The “Doing Magic” exhibition (running through April 26) spotlights the lust for sensation and the irrational side of Linz. The objects on display include pictures, posters, films and magicians’ equipment & props. Perhaps the most famous is the magical chest that Johann Wolfgang von Goethe gave to his grandchildren as a Christmas present in 1830. And of course, visitors are invited to take a stab at the magical arts themselves!Admission is free for holders of the Linz09 Insider and the Linz09 Card. A money-saving family ticket is also available at the museum box office.
