Celebrating cultural diversity at the “Integrationsball 2008”

Saturday, 18 October, will see the third annual Upper Austrian “Integrationsball” in a row. Along the lines of this year’s motto “Klang der Vielfalt”, the music of diversity, successful integration and the peaceful coexistence of people from different backgrounds will be at the centre of the festive ball at the Palais Kaufmännischer Verein.
In collaboration with Linz 2009 European Capital of Culture, Volkshilfe Oberösterreich plays host to a scintillating celebration of cultural diversity. The “Integrationsball”, a colourful, unmistakable sign of diversity and tolerance, has become one of the highpoints of Upper Austria’s ball season.Music at the “music of diversity” ball will be in the hands of such acts as Ramadu, Kohelet, Apollo3, DJ Junior Lawson, Karl M. Sibelius, Maxi Blaha, David Wurawa and Stelzhamma. The evening will be hosted by the well-known ORF presenter Barbara van Melle. The ball’s proceeds will go to Volkshilfe Oberösterreich’s advisory centres for immigrants and asylum seekers.
