The Linz09 Program Has Been Finalized

The Linz 2009 European Capital of Culture lineup was already 90% complete in Spring 2008. Since then, the programming arrangements have been consummated and the extensive array of Capital of Culture year productions is now complete.

Accordingly, we will no longer be considering any further submissions.

The program consists of numerous projects originally submitted as proposals, as well as cooperative efforts with cultural institutions of the City of Linz and the Province of Upper Austria, with previously existing festivals, and with educational facilities, clubs & associations, and the local indie scene. The result is a broad spectrum of exhibitions, projects, ideas and concepts for Linz 2009 European Capital of Culture. Several projects have also been developed independently by Linz09.

The complete program as well as detailed information about the projects will be released at the program presentation in mid-November 2008.
