To put a bit of a twist into education—that’s the mission of I LIKE TO MOVE IT MOVE IT. All over Upper Austria at a wide array of educational institutions, Linz09’s big school project has been staging a series of workshops, dance productions and theatrical presentations in cooperation with professional artists. This intensive encounter with creativity now continues in the form of a very eagerly anticipated speech by Sir Ken Robinson. The internationally renowned expert and best-selling author calls for the educational system to place just as much emphasis on creativity as it does on reading and writing skills. A Briton currently living in Los Angeles, Robinson has been a frequent consultant on educational issues to the European Commission, UNESCO and the governments of the United Kingdom and Hong Kong.
