Comics are omnipresent. We encounter them in films and advertising, in fashion and design these days. They’ve become a core element of youth culture. Now, Linz09 is staging a festival dedicated to this artform.
NextComic is an interdisciplinary celebration of comics and graphic literature. This incredibly vibrant and creative scene calls for a festival of corresponding diversity, and that’s exactly what’s on tap March 6-8 at multiple venues in Linz and Wels. A wide array of events will showcase comics from all over Europe, top-name artists as well as up-and-coming young talent, leading-edge trends and the many facets of this artform. The lineup includes presentations, exhibitions, workshops and speeches. And for all you hard-core comic-heads out there: be ready for “24 Hours of Live Drawing” March 6-7.NextComic
