The “Doing Magic” exhibition opens at the Nordico Museum in the first week of February. This will be a fascinating look at what wizards, magicians, illusionists, hypnotists, fortune-tellers, escapologists and other masters of amazement have up their sleeves.
Industry, commerce and technology are what Linz is know for. It’s not the kind of place you associate with the magical arts. But they have their tradition here too—in this city’s backrooms, demimondes and theatres, and on its squares and streets. This exhibition features documents and images as well as mechanical devices, objects and early works of media art. In the program of events being staged in conjunction with the exhibition, members of the public can have a go at casting their own spells.Doing Magic
