Linz is the Scene of the Crime!

An episode of “Tatort,” the most popular detective show on Austrian and German TV, is being currently being shot in Linz.

Linz author Thomas Baum collaborated with director Walter Bannert on the script for this episode of the highly-rated series entitled “Kinderwunsch” (the desire to have children), in which popular actor Harald Krassnitzer will star as Inspector Moritz Eisner. This installment of Tatort featuring Linz is part of a wide array of productions being presented over the coming year by the ORF – Austrian Broadcasting Company, Linz09’s exclusive electronic media partner. Principal shooting will be wrapped up in November; the show will air in 2009.
