Continuation of the Academy of the Impossible
Copyright: Linz09
The first “Kinderwachsen” (children growing) workshop designed for children, pupils and care personnel is being held on Thursday, October 16 in cooperation with Linz’s Kindergarten Training Facility and Federal Institute for Kindergarten Pedagogy.
This workshop, which is being offered on multiple dates, focuses on essential aspects of the Academy of the Impossible’s mission: on each participant’s own life history, on the here-and-now, on personal limitations, as well as on wishes and goals. It will take a playful approach to examining what it means to be a child; the perspectives will be those of children, young people and adults; and participants will use theatrical means to express their insights. The materials that will be brought to bear include paint and paper, music and costumes, as well as memories and imagination.
Angelika Kisser-Maayan (theatrical artist and drama therapist) and Walter Mathes (actor and art therapist) will place their artistic and pedagogical skills at participants’ disposal and personally accompany the entire creative process.
20 dates from October 16 to April 30, 2009
