Linz09 Congratulates LASK on its 100th Anniversary

Football is a major part of the cultural mix in Linz and has a long tradition in the future Capital of Culture. This coming Sunday, Linz’s LASK club will be celebrating its 100th anniversary by playing a friendly against Real Madrid in jam-packed Gugl Stadium.
Linz football fans are looking forward with tremendous anticipation to this test against a world-class Spanish squad. A special commemorative scarf and T-shirt have been created for the big match on Sunday, July 27, 2008. The stadium has been practically sold out for weeks; only a few scattered seats are still available. For all those who won’t be able to catch the action live, ORF SPORT PLUS will be televising the match beginning at 8:15 PM.Linz09 wishes LASK all the best!
