A Name for the Linz09 School Project!
Linz09 is getting things moving! There’s certainly wide agreement on that point among all those who cast a ballot to select, from among 10 candidates, an appropriate name for the Capital of Culture’s big school project. Having garnered 31.8% of the vote, “I like to move it, move it!” is the winner.
Choreographers, directors, actors, teachers and over a thousand students will be getting things moving in schools throughout the Province of Upper Austria in Spring 2009. But this art project being produced under the aegis of Linz09 has already begun activating participants by staging an online vote to decide on the project’s name. There were 10 options to choose from, and more than 1,200 ballots were cast.Resounding names like XTRA.KLASSE (18%) and Shakeschool (9.9%) were among the favourites, but, in the end, none came close to “I like to move it, move it.” And you couldn’t ask for a more appropriate title; after all, physical movement will occupy the spotlight in Linz09’s big school project.
