Win a Tiefenrausch Weekend

Last year, SCHAURAUSCH – Viewing Spree, the successful series of exhibitions along Linz’s Landstraße, brought public art to downtown Linz’s shopping district. Now, TIEFENRAUSCH – Rapture of the Deep is providing the lead-in to the Capital of Culture year. Among the visitors will be two lucky winners of a drawing for a TIEFENRAUSCH Weekend featuring accommodations in a Linz hotel and an All-Inclusive Ticket.

Tiefenrausch’s point of departure is the Museum of the Underworlds in the OK Center for Contemporary Art. In downtown Linz, TIEFENRAUSCH will be visible along Landstraße, where red plastic tubes designed by Linz Art University undergrads are replacing the conventional manhole covers. In the Aktienkeller, OK is staging a major international art exhibition on the subject of “Remembering – Forgetting.” Plus, TIEFENRAUSCH is making available a wide array of guided tours to underground sites that are usually off-limits to the general public: the system of tunnels built by the Nazis, drinking water reservoirs and the crypts of Old City churches.

For the duration of this subterranean spectacle, tourists can take advantage of a special TIEFENRAUSCH Weekend offer: two nights stay in a 3- or 4-star hotel including breakfast, the Linz City Ticket and a TIEFENRAUSCH package for 105 / 125 euros (per person, double occupancy). The All-Inclusive Ticket entitles you to a guided tour through the OK’s Museum of the Underworlds, admission to the exhibition in the Aktienkeller, a guided tour of the crypts in the Old City, an outing to the cistern or the Donaudüker tunnel, and a night screening in the Moviemento art-house cinema.
