Musical Passages between Linz and Vilnius
02.04.2008A musical form of cultural exchange between Austria and Lithuania is the centerpiece of the “Kompositionen – Kompozicijos” project that kicks off in April 2008.
The Anton Bruckner University is developing five musical projects in cooperation with Linz09. Getting things started is “Kompositionen – Kompozicijos,” a joint production by students at Linz’s Anton Bruckner University and the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater in Vilnius. The young musicians will be getting together in temporary workshops for encounters with contemporary music from Austria and Lithuania. The general public is cordially invited to attend rehearsals beginning April 7. The culmination is a joint workshop concert on April 11.Monday, April 7, 10 AM to 12 Noon and 2-4 PM

The musicians will be rehearsing works by Rudolf Jungwirth, Thomas Mandel, Werner Steinmetz, Till Alexander Körber, Kurinio Paradinimas, Remigijus Merkelys, Teisutis Makačinas and Justė Janulytė.
