Among his many accomplishments, Domela was responsible for the City of Manchester’s contribution to the “Shrinking Cities” project, an exemplary investigation of contemporary urban development.Major events like art biennials and capital of culture years focus attention—on the part of audiences as well as the media. In this context, Paul Domela will scrutinize the influence such events can have on a city’s developmental path.
