Linz Changes

Beginning this spring, the marketing material of the City of Linz and Linz09 will feature a new coordinated slogan. And Upper Austria’s capital will be launching a new logo.

The city’s current slogan—“Linz – Eine Stadt lebt auf”—is being retired after 18 years of service. In spring, “Linz verändert” (Linz Changes) will be the dominant theme of the image the city puts forward. This is meant to accentuate the process of change now underway as well as a promise of transformation in conjunction with the Capital of Culture year. Both the City of Linz and Linz09 will utilise this slogan on all public communications, which will also feature the new logo, a gray and magenta design that was selected by a competition among students at Kunstuniversität Linz.
