2008 Programme is Available Online
The new year is fast approaching! Now, you can already get an overview of what Linz09 has in store for 2008.
The big lineup starts in January with “Politics Love Arts,” a series of events in which political leaders present their favourite works from the Lentos Museum of Art’s collection. There’ll be plenty of innovative exhibitions: one is “Tiefenrausch” (Rapture of the Deep), in which curators from the O.K Center for Contemporary Art take audiences through Linz’s subterranean network of tunnels and cellars. In June, Hubert von Goisern sets off on the second leg of his Linz Europa Tour. This summer, the Academy of the Impossible kicks off a series of courses and workshops that challenge participants to do the seemingly undoable. In 2008, guests can already start checking into “Pixelhotel,” a project for Linz09. After all, why accept run-of-the-mill accommodations when you can book your stay at truly unusual locations? “Hörstadt” (HearCity) aims to turn Linz into an acoustic model city.
