“UmLinzRum” in Sibiu

The second annual “UmLinzRum” writing workshop was held at the end of October in Sibiu, Romania, one of this year's capitals of culture.
“UmLinzRum”—literally “round about Linz”—premiered in 2006 with a five-day workshop in the Czech city of Budweis. This year, organizer Oskar Terš and 40 students traveled to Sibiu, where they were joined by Cătălina Ene, a successful young Romanian author. Workshop participants polished their German-language abilities in literary texts ranging from poetry to short stories. Six of the authors will present their work to the public at a reading set for December 11 at StifterHaus Linz. Click here for some impressions of Sibiu.
