Culture in Midtown

A new cultural enclave has emerged right in the vicinity of Landstraße and thus in the heart of Linz’s downtown shopping district. The O.K Center for Contemporary Art reopened in late August following a major renovation.
Previously separate institutions have become partners in the completely redesigned facility that now also houses Moviemento, Linz’s art house cinema. The O.K’s infrastructure has also been updated, and that includes state-of-the-art movie projection technology. Additional offering are two new restaurants and a new café, each featuring its own individual culinary concept. Nevertheless, what has stayed the same amidst all this innovation are the O.K’s concept and vision. The facility remains a space for the exhibition and production of contemporary art. Regional roots and international renown exist side by side at the O.K.www.ok-centrum.at
