Ars Electronica 2007 features “Pixelhotel”

The virtual world merges with the real one in the Ars Electronica Festival’s Second City. “Pixelhotel,” a Linz09 preliminary project, is a part of the festival.
“Pixelhotel”—premiering at Ars Electronica 2007—will turn all of Linz into a transient lodging place. During the 2009 Capital of Culture year, the rooms at “Pixelhotel” will be dispersed all around town, taking advantage of vacant premises that are not usually associated with hotel accommodations. During the 2007 Ars Electronica Festival, a deserted garage in the courtyard behind Marienstraße 10 will serve as a prototype hotel room.www.pixelhotel.at
