Linz is becoming Hospitality City

In Linz, we really appreciate hospitality! That’s why Linz09 is launching a major initiative to prepare the people of Linz for the Capital of Culture year and the international visitors who are headed this way.

Assuring that our Capital of Culture year guests receive a warm welcome and the royal treatment from well-informed hospitality industry professionals and a highly motivated populace—in short: giving out-of-towners a nice, friendly reception—is the aim of the tourism concept that Linz09 is implementing right now. Linzers whose occupations bring them into contact with our guests from nearby and around the world—in hotels and restaurants, shops, public transit facilities and tourist information bureaus—make up the target audience of this campaign. Linz09 is currently working with the respective umbrella organizations to develop a variety of offerings including informational events, training sessions custom-tailored to specific areas, and language courses. As European Capital of Culture, Linz is looking forward to providing outstanding service, since this is such an important part of making for satisfied guests and good reviews that keep people coming back after 2009 as well!
