Eat, Drink and Be Merry at the Linz09 Finale

There’s no better reason to throw a party than to ring out a great year—and especially when it’s the year Linz reigned as European Capital of Culture! Linz09’s grand finale on December 31st features an outstanding entertainment lineup and first-class culinary offerings.

We’re celebrating the defining features of Upper Austrian cuisine: regional specialties, locally-grown ingredients, quality that’s rooted to this province’s soil. Food & beverage service on Hauptplatz will get underway at 2 PM, just in time for the start of the traditional pre-New Year’s Eve run through the inner city. To supplement to the usual New Year’s Eve comestibles, five member-establishments of hotspots, an alliance of 60 top inns and restaurants in Linz and vicinity, will once again be serving delectable delights at affordable prices. There’ll also be a wide selection of beverages including fresh-squeezed juices, hot toddies, beer and champagne. And what’s more—partygoers will be able to slake their hunger and thirst throughout the entertainment program and thus on into the wee hours of 2010’s first morning.
